The Iranian Deputy for International Affairs and Technological Exchange visited ISTT

Dr. Ali Morteza Birang, the deputy for international affairs and technological exchange of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town on the 9^th of August 2016. Upon his arrival at ISTT he first attended a meeting with its management team. Amongst the issues raised during Dr. Birang’s meeting with ISTTs management team, were the recognition of the competitive advantages of knowledge-based companies residing at ISTT, the use of Iranian experts scattered around the world to develop and promote the international dimension of settled knowledge-based companies, and the internationalization of the National Sheikh Baha’i Technopreneurship Festival.

Different methods for creating an increase in the annual volume of knowledge-based product export through the use and help of Science and Technology Parks including ISTT were also discussed. Dr Birang also encouraged ISTT to create the opportunity and suitable environment for the settlement of various R& D units of international companies at its park.

With the completion of his meeting with ISTTs management team, Dr Birang participated in a tour of ISTT where he met with several of ISTT’s settled companies including Ehyagaran Ghalb Asia, Karapalayeh, Delta Kavir Sepahan, and Alton. During his visit to the settled companies at ISTT, he was informed of the existing problems in the way of export of knowledge-based products and in the development of start-ups to matured companies.
